Mozy has expanded its service to the UK and Ireland! Mozy is one of my favourite online backup services, and now users in the UK and Ireland can sign up for Mozy and pay in their own currency instead of US Dollars. Users data will also be stored on servers in Central Europe so companies can comply with EU data regulations.
People can visit the UK version of the Mozy website at mozy.co.uk and people in Ireland can visit mozy.ie. The price for UK users is £4.99 per month for unlimited data. The cost per month drops if people sign up for a one or two year subscription. The price for users in Ireland is €4.99. Again the price per month go down for longer subscriptions.
This is a great opportunity for Mozy users in the UK, Ireland and all of Europe. Nothing like being able to pay for your online backup service in your local currency, but to also know your data is in a more local data centre.
